2009 Season CD-ROM Now Available

Clinicians speak on blood management topics

Terumo Cardiovascular Systems again hosted the highly acclaimed Optimizing Cardiac Surgery® Annual Symposia Series in early 2009. The 2009 Series, featuring nationally reknown speakers discussing best practices in blood management, drew 180 perfusionists to its two sessions.

You may order a CD-ROM of the session from Mechanisms of Perfusion XXIV held in May 2009. The 2009 CD-ROM features a cross-functional faculty that examined the topic, Advancing Blood Management, from a variety of perspectives:

Timothy Hannon, MD

  • Medical director of the St. Vincent Indianapolis Blood Management Program and President of Strategic Healthcare Group LLC.

Sean Murtha, CCP

  • Director of Perfusion Services, Comprehensive Care Services, Inc. in Florida – including Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

David Fitzgerald, CCP

  • Chief of Cardiovascular Perfusion and ECMO Coordinator, INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute, Falls Church, Virginia.

Order a CD-ROM today. It will be produced and ready for delivery in August. Later this year, Terumo will unveil its speaker line-up for the 2010 Optimizing Cardiac Surgery Symposia Series. The sessions are known for:

  • Topics focused on improving patient outcomes and reducing hospital costs
  • Presented by clinicians, for clinicians
  • Free CEUs
  • Conveniently scheduled for attendees at two national U.S. perfusion meetings

Note: Registrants to either of the 2009 Optimizing Cardiac Surgery Symposia will automatically receive the CD-ROM.
