      I need information on the adult CAPIOX® FX Oxygenator with Integrated Arterial Filter.

    • The CAPIOX FX oxygenator was launched earlier in 2009 and is the first oxygenator with a truly integrated arterial filter. Terumo offers two adult sizes: the CAPIOX® FX15 Oxygenator for small adults and the CAPIOX® FX25 Oxygenator for all adults. By incorporating the filter inside the oxygenator housing, the CAPIOX FX oxygenator provides the safety of arterial filtration with virtually no added prime volume.

      According to Gomez1 (2009), the CAPIOX FX05 oxygenator:

      Primes as quickly and as easily as the CAPIOX® RX05 oxygenator
      Effectively reduces GME
      Can significantly reduce prime volume without sacrificing safety
